ESPN analyst: Could Jim Harbaugh return to the NFL?

Jim Harbaugh returned to the University of Michigan after serving as the head coach of the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014, but will he return to the pros?

Former LSU star and current ESPN analyst Marcuse Spears suggested that Harbaugh could once again find himself in the NFL when asked about the trend of college coaches going to the NFL in recent years.

“Jim Harbaugh,” Spears said. “We can’t [leave him out]. He’s had success. He’s been to the Super Bowl, what he did in San Francisco. This is almost a no-brainer. I know Oklahoma, Michigan and Ohio State don’t want to hear anything we’re talking about right now, but these are three guys that you identify. If you want to identify a guy that has done it and has proven that he can have success in the NFL, it’s Jim Harbaugh!”

The other college coaches that Spears suggested could find themselves in the pros one day included Oklahoma’s Lincoln Riley and Ohio State’s Ryan Day.
