Well, this afternoon wasn’t a complete loss for the Detroit Tigers.
In the bottom of the 5th inning against the Oakland Athletics, Harold Castro launched a home run that sailed 447 feet and landed in the shrubs, the second longest long ball of Detroit’s 2021 season behind Akil Baddoo’s 450 foot blast against Houston earlier this year.
Castro’s home run was also the 2nd longest home run at Comerica Park this season behind that of Byron Buxton’s 451 foot blast back in April.

It also happened to be his second home run in the last 24 hours.
