The NBA made the groundbreaking decision last night to suspend the remainder of their regular season schedule until further notice following the positive testing of Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert for COVID-19, otherwise known as coronavirus.
A bit later, the NHL Players Association released a statement saying that discussions with the League would continue through today.
According to TSN NHL Insider Darren Dreger, the NHL has scheduled a Board call for this afternoon.
Furthermore, TSN Insider Pierre LeBrun reported that he spoke with one unidentified player who agreed with the NBA’s decision, and thinks the NHL would be wise to do the same.
