J.J. McCarthy’s ‘cryptic’ Instagram post has everyone talking

Here is the photo that Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy posted to his Instagram Story following Saturday's 51-7 win over Colorado State.

Let me preface by saying that I don’t believe there is any way in hell that Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy posted the photo you are about to see as a dig at his teammate Cade McNamara.

Here is the photo that McCarthy posted to his Instagram Story following Saturday’s 51-7 win over Colorado State.

During the game, McNamara got the start, as was planned by Jim Harbaugh, but when McCarthy did get into the game, he was absolutely electric as he was 3-for-3 passing while rushing for 50 yards and a touchdown.

Nation, do you think the photo above has anything to do with Cade McNamara?

  1. I have no idea what the photo is in reference to but I doubt he is dissing his teammate. JJ was great in the game and I am hoping he is the QB this year. To my way of thinking, Cade has done an okay job but is a bit pedestrian, while JJ seems to provide a spark and some excitement for the team when he comes in. I think JJ adds an element the Wolversines have not had since Robinson in his ability to run but also is a good passer. Let the young guy loose Jim!
