The Detroit Red Wings got a major boost to their lineup tonight, as captain Dylan Larkin returned to action after having missed the previous three contests while tending to a private family matter off the ice.
Larkin and the Red Wings improved to 6-5-2 on the season, beating the Vegas Golden Knights by a 5-2 final score at Little Caesars Arena.
But of course, the return of the team captain to the ice was what head coach Jeff Blashill had on his mind afterwards.
“I think Dylan is a big piece of who we are, and our guys care about each other, and they care tons about him,” he said. “I’m sure it was good from their perspective to have him back, and it was good from our perspective too.”
