The Pistons, on the other hand, are hoping to extend their season by beating the Knicks and qualifying for the NBA Playoffs. With a win or a Charlotte Hornets loss, the Pistons would squeak into the playoffs.

Knicks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. realizes his team will not be going to the postseason but he intends on doing whatever he can to ruin the Pistons night.

“We just want to keep they (bleep) out,” Dennis Smith Jr. told MSG Network after his team's win Tuesday night. “We ain't really got too much to play for other than pride right now, so we don’t want to lay down.

“If we can ruin someone else’s season, we’ll do it.”

Nation, do you think the Pistons will get the job done on their own or will they have to rely on a Hornets loss to get into the playoffs?
