Early Wednesday morning, news broke that Michigan State is reportedly hiring Mel Tucker to become their next head football coach.

Tucker, who previously coached at Colorado, was one of Michigan State's potential candidates a week ago until he announced that he was going to remain with the Buffalos.
Personally, I would have liked to see the Spartans roll with Mike Tressel as interim head coach for the 2020 season while continuing their search for Mark Dantonio‘s replacement. Doing so would have also allowed them to evaluate any potential candidates who would have been available following the 2020 season, including Mel Tucker.
That being said, word on the street is that Tucker is a great recruiter who will be able to compete for the great players coming out of Detroit and that is a great sign for Michigan State.
Nation, it's your turn.
Do you think hiring Mel Tucker is the right move for Michigan State?
