Michigan Wolverines led college football attendance in 2019

They don't call it “The Big House” for nothing.

The Michigan Wolverines once again led college football in home attendance this season with an average home crowd numbering 111,459 strong.

From 247Sports:

“The nation's attendance leader again during the 2019 season, Michigan Stadium crossed 112,000 fans in the finale vs. Ohio State. The second highest-attended game came during a win over Notre Dame (111,909). Give Wolverines fans a ton of credit — they haven't wavered on Jim Harbaugh in Ann Arbor despite the national narrative that he's unable to win the big game. He hasn't beaten the Buckeyes yet, but Harbaugh has certainly maintained Michigan's status as a national threat year to year. In 2020, this number could grow even higher if the Wolverines have the early look a team capable of competing for a Big Ten championship.”

The rest of the list in order:

10. Tennessee: 87,864
9. Nebraska: 89,348
8. Georgia: 92,746
7. Texas: 96,305
6. LSU: 100,841
5. Texas A&M: 101,542
4. Alabama: 101,115
3. Ohio State: 103,382
2. Penn State: 105,678
1. Michigan: 111,459
