Detroit Lions‘ rookie T.J. Hockenson is expected to be a very good player for a very long time. That being said, tight end is generally a position that takes some time before making a difference in the passing game so being able to block right off the bat is a must.

Hockenson has a chance to make a big difference for the Lions offense immediately, even if he is not catching a ton of passes.
