Lions Glover Quin has some strong words for the Green Bay Packers

No matter how you slice it, the hated Green Bay Packers have owned the NFC North since it began in 2002. During that time, they have won nine division titles including five of the past six.

Unfortunately for the Detroit Lions and their fans, they have been the complete opposite in terms of success in the North. In fact, the Lions have not won a single NFC North title in 15 tries, which makes them the only team in the division not to win a division crown during that time.

In 2016, the Lions had a golden opportunity to finally get over the hump.

After winning eight out of nine games to move their record to 9-4, the Lions had a two-game lead over the 7-6 Packers with just three games to play. Detroit dropped the next two games to the Giants and Cowboys while Green Bay beat Chicago and Minnesota to tie things up with the Lions heading into their Week 17 battle at Ford Field for the NFC North title.
