Newly re-signed Lions WR Josh Reynolds says Detroit ‘feels like home’

The Detroit Lions brought aboard wide receiver Josh Reynolds in early November, claiming him off the waiver wire after he had requested and was granted a release from the Tennessee Titans. The move reunited him with QB Jared Goff, as he spent his first five years with the Los Angeles Rams prior to joining the Titans.

They saw fit to reward him with a two-year contract extension that became official earlier today, and he’s excited to be extending his stay in the Motor City.

“I was excited to be able to come to terms with the team and ultimately to be back,” Reynolds explained to media members. “As soon as I got the news, I was ready to get back out here, man. Shoutout to DC (Dan Campbell) and Brad (Holmes) to get this thing done. We’re going to get this thing rolling, and it’s going to be good.”

“For me, it was an easy decision,” he continued when asked about the free-agency experience. “As long as we were able to get all the details right, I was more than willing to come back. I felt like this was the best move, and I love the decision I made. Just happy to be here, man. Feels like home, even just being back in the building. I can’t really give you the words that I’m trying to get out right now, but I can tell you I’m more than happy to be here and ready for the season.”

The 27-year-old Reynolds scored two touchdowns while racking up 307 yards in seven games played with the Lions, and appreciates the trust that they showed upon his arrival.

“There wasn’t an opportunity that I got with the last team that I was on,” he continued. “They came in with full trust in me and let me do my thing. It just showed how much trust they had in me, and that was a big reason why I also was looking forward to getting this deal done with them.”
