NFL reportedly disapproves contract of Detroit Lions S Kirby Joseph

It’s always the fine print

Earlier today, the Detroit Lions announce that seven of their eight 2022 NFL Draft picks had officially signed their rookie contracts.

One of those players who signed is third-round pick, Kerby Joseph, who signed his 4-year rookie deal.

Well, according to multiple reports, Joseph’s contract has been disapproved by the NFL.

Birkett notes that there will be no changes in the numbers in the contract and Joseph will still get the max value for a third-round pick. But first, the Lions will have to fix some of the workout bonus language in the contract.

Just three days ago, the same thing happened to the Pittsburgh Steelers as second-round pick Bryan Cook also had his contract disapproved and it had to be re-filed.
