One trade the Detroit Lions should make

Following a home loss to the Minnesota Vikings this past Sunday, the Detroit Lions are now 2-3-1 on the season and the question is, will they be buyers or sellers as the NFL trade deadline is just days away.

According to early returns, it looks like the Lions may be sellers as they have already dealt starting safety captain Quandre Diggs to the Seattle Seahawks for a bag of balls.

That being said, there is still a chance the Lions win on Sunday against the Giants and general manager Bob Quinn decides to make a move to add a player to the mix.

Cody Benjamin recently published a piece with CBS Sports which lists one trade each team in the NFL should make.

Benjamin thinks the Lions should trade for Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman.

From CBS Sports:

Acquire: RB Devonta Freeman (from Falcons)
Trade: 2020 fifth-round pick, 2021 fifth-round pick

Freeman's got an injury history and a big contract, but he'd be the bruiser they thought they were getting with C.J. Anderson — an instant plug-and-play No. 1 to fill in for Kerryon Johnson (injured reserve) and keep the Lions pushing in the NFC North. Even when Johnson returns, Detroit could opt to split carries between them.

Nation, would you like to see the Lions make this trade?
