OOPS! Random MSU logo appears on field during NFL broadcast

Yeah, we know it’s Christmas Eve. But not everyone is allowed the day off from work! Apparently, the FOX broadcast team covering the game between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints didn’t get that memo.

For whatever reason, a Michigan State University logo made its way onto the television broadcast during the game.

Well, that was random.

Apparently FOX felt the need to show Sparty some more love after finishing the regular season with a 9-3 record, one year after they finished 3-9.

I guess we’ll just chalk this one up to “too much eggnog before the game”!

They promise to be a quick breakdown of who we the fans should be cheering for outside of our own team. Really, they’re nothing more than a crude explanation of what tiebreakers are needed for which teams to reach the postseason. What’s insightful about a written explanation of ESPN’s playoff machine? And more importantly, why is THAT scenario the one we should be rooting for? Why are some of us so desperate to squeak into the wild card by the skin of our teeth just to get sent home with our tails between our legs?
