President Trump throws shade at Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford

Prior to Thursday’s Thanksgiving Day game, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson were among the players who showed their support for social justice by kneeling during the national anthem.

Well, one person who is not a fan of players kneeling is President Donald Trump.

After catching wind that Stafford and Watson both knelt during the anthem, Trump took to Twitter to make sure to remind everyone that he is not cool with what Stafford and Watson did.

“No thanks!” Trump tweeted.

Back on September 16th, Stafford explained why he made the decision to kneel during the anthem.

“Obviously, it’s been an amazing offseason for me personally, for our team, for a lot of people,” Stafford said in September. “There’s been a great opportunity for growth and learning and understanding, and just felt like it was the right thing for me, as certain guys on our team felt like the right thing was standing, certain guys felt like the right thing for them was being in the locker room.

“We support each other. We know where everybody stands in our locker room. We love each other and support each other and that’s that.”

Nation, do you have a problem with Stafford or other players kneeling during the anthem?
