On Wednesday, Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay spoke to the media for the first time since speaking his mind about Quandre Diggs being traded to the Seattle Seahawks.

In addition to doubling down on his comments about not caring if he is traded or not, Slay added that he “wouldn’t mind” playing in Detroit for the rest of his career.
From Detroit Free Press:
“I wouldn’t mind playing my whole career here,” Slay said. “Who wouldn’t want to just play on one team? But it’s a whole business. Can’t have your hopes up.”
Slay clearly loves the city of Detroit and he loves Lions’ fans.
“I love the fans here,” Slay said. “They’re awesome. I love them. I be doing it for them. They’re a good fan base. I love the support they give me and I just like to support the city, so that’s why I do what I do for the city already.”
Though Lions fans love Darius Slay too, the writing seems to be on the wall that he will not be a Lion much longer.
Nation, do you think the Lions give Slay a contract extension or do you think his days in Detroit are limited?
