If you happened to tune in for Sunday’s game between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers, you likely saw the incident that took place in the fourth quarter involving Packers LB Quay Walker and a Lions medical staffer. The Lions’ medical staffer was on the field to help RB D’Andre Swift, who was down on the field after taking a big hit when Walker inexplicably shoved him. Walker was given an unsportsmanlike penalty and he was ejected from the game. On Monday, he apologized for his actions.
What did Quay Walker say to apologize to the Detroit Lions medical staffer?
On Monday morning, Walker took to Twitter to release an apology for his actions.
“I want to apologize publicly about what happened Sunday night. I reacted off of my emotions again and take full responsibility of making another stupid decision. Since then I’ve questioned myself on why did I do what I did when the trainer was doing his job!! I was wrong!!”
“I understand I have to face everything that comes with the decision I’ve made and I’m definitely paying for it now.”
“Also to explain my frustration in the tunnel. I wasn’t upset about being kicked out, I just knew I messed up again and was wrong for what I did and couldn’t believe I did it again. To the Detroit lions and to the entire training staff including the person I did that too. I’m sorry”
This is the second time this season Quay has been kicked out of a game. The first time came on Oct. 30 when he shoved a player who was not even wearing a uniform on the Bills’ sideline.
