The Detroit Red Wings acquired forward Jakub Vrana from the Washington Capitals in the blockbuster deal that sent Anthony Mantha to the nation’s capital, and so far, Vrana is doing a good job of making a name for himself in his new home.
After tallying in his Detroit debut, he soon followed it up with a four-goal performance last week against the Dallas Stars. And tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes, he’s added another highlight to his short but eventful resume here in Detroit.
He scored his 6th goal since donning the Winged Wheel on an absolutely filthy backhand:
