Flashback to the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
By the time all was said and done in Game 2 against Tampa Bay, the Detroit Red Wings had been beaten handily by a score of 5-2. The win gave the Lightning a commanding 2 games to none lead in the best of 7 series.
Though the game may have been out of hand, the Red Wings were not about to sit back and take the beating. In fact, thanks to Justin Abdelkader, the Wings handed out a bit of a beating themselves.
Watch at Abdelkader absolutely pummels Tampa’s Michael Blunden late in the 3rd period. As you can see, Blunden took quite the beating from Abdelkader.

Something tells us Blunden did not have steak for dinner on that night!
