Robert Saleh is the heavy favorite to become the next head coach of the Detroit Lions, right?
Well, if you are under the assumption that it is just a matter of time before Saleh is hired by the Lions, you may want to pump the brakes a bit and sit down for what I am about to tell you.
According to a report from Dallas Cowboys insider Mike Fisher, a source has told him that “there is influence” in the Lions building that “favors” Dan Campbell to become the team’s next head coach.
#Lions rumors had them falling in love with #49ers DC Robert Saleh as HC. But source tells me there is influence in their building that favors Dan Campbell, the former #Cowboys TE now a top #Saints assistant. pic.twitter.com/fbjX4FE0fU

Campbell, who actually finished his NFL playing career with the Detroit Lions, is currently the assistant head coach/tight ends for the New Orleans Saints.
When the odds to be the next head coach of the Detroit Lions came out a week ago, Saleh was the favorite at +170, while Dan Campbell was not even included, making him a long-shot to get the job.
Now, fast forward a week and the Lions have interviewed Campbell and he apparently impressed an “influence” in the building.
Nation, would you be down with the Lions hiring Dan Campbell to be their next head coach?
Riddick and Bevell. They can always hire again if that don’t work out.
