When the Detroit Lions selected TE T.J. Hockenson with the No. 8 selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, many fans and media members had flashbacks of when the Lions used a high pick on Eric Ebron.
As we know, the Ebron experiment did not work and he was eventually shown the door.
Though Hockenson has not exactly lit the world on fire over his first two seasons in Detroit, he is actually on the verge of breaking the Lions tight end record for most receiving yards in a season.
That’s right, folks, Hock is just 164 yards away (41 yards per a game) from setting an all-time Lions record for tight ends.
Nation, will Hockenson get the job done over the next four weeks?
T.J. Hockenson had 84 yards receiving Sunday. He needs 164 yards over the Lions' final four games to set the franchise's single-season receiving record for a tight end.
