Dear Tom Brady,
First of all, thank you. Thank you for the memories you gave Michigan fans during your time as a Wolverine and thank you for the countless memories you have us during your run with the New England Patriots.
What you have managed to do as a sixth-round pick from the 2000 NFL Draft is something that nobody would have ever even dreamed of.
Your Super Bowl runs have been epic and there is no question about it that you are the greatest player in NFL history.
But Tom, it is time for you to hang up your cleats, once and for all.
We know you have said before that you want to continue to play for as long as possible, and that is certainly your right and we would continue to support you, but you have already proven enough.
Watching you play in 2019 was enough to show us that you have become a shell of your former self, which is fine. Heck, most 43-year-old men probably have trouble touching their toes, much less going out and playing 60-minutes of NFL football.
Tom, you are the GOAT but the time has come to hang up your cleats.
P.S. If this motivates you to come back and prove everybody wrong, we would love that too!
