UPDATE:

According to a report that just came out, Michigan has decided to cancel its spring football game which had been scheduled to take place on April 18.

Original Report:

Just minutes ago, Dr. Mark Schlissel took to Twitter to make a special announcement.

“Tomorrow and Friday all classes are officially canceled. ON Monday, March 16th, classes will resume remotely in alternative formats. Classes will not meet in person through the end of the semester, April 21. All U-M events that would convene 100 people or more are also canceled.”

Does this mean the Michigan Spring Football Game which is scheduled for April 18th will also be canceled? After all, even if fans are not allowed in the stadium, there would be well over 100 people if players, coaches, etc. are included.

We are still waiting on official word from Michigan regarding athletics but this would certainly be a huge development.
