Always at the front lines of Detroit Sports.

It isn’t often that outspoken talk show host Mike Valenti isn’t criticizing Detroit Lions, with whom he has a bombastic history.

During one segment from this afternoon, 97.1 The Ticket’s “Valenti Show” discussed a recent podcast from Mike Lombardi, a former assistant to the coaching staff of the New England Patriots and former analyst for the NFL Network and sportswriter at NFL.com. He currently hosts his own podcast called “The GM Shuffle”.

“I think this…eveyrbody in the building (and they’ll deny it when it comes out) that it’s either win this year, or they’re all gone,” Lombardi said. “I think everybody knows in Detroit, the people around the Detroit Patriots are saying that it’s either win or go home….this is what happens when you go radical and try and become Bill Belichick.”
