There is no question about it that Miguel Cabrera is one of the greatest hitters of all time.
In fact, Miggy has had such a great career that he is actually just a single hit away from tying Hall of Famer Babe Ruth for No. 45 on the all-time list.
On Wednesday, Cabrera was told that he is just one hit away from Ruth and his reaction was priceless.
“WHOOOOOA,” Cabrera yelled.
Miggy actually had a chance to tie Ruth during Thursday’s doubleheader but he went a combined 0-for-6 during the two games.
In 12 games in 2021, Cabrera is just 6-for-41 for a .146 batting average.
Miguel Cabrera has 2,872 career hits. Babe Ruth had 2,873 hits. When @JohnKeatingBSD told him that, the @Tigers hitter reacted before he could finish the question.
