The Lions are doing a great job staying balanced on offense, much to the credit of first-year offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. Overall, they are well in the top half of the League in offensive numbers.
No matter what grading system, or analytical approach you take to analyzing the game, the Lions’ offense is one of the tops in the entire NFL. According to DVOA, they are the 6th best offense in the entire league.
According to the oft-maligned Pro Football Focus, they are tied for the 9th best offense in the league.
There’s no denying that the Lions have been a fun team to watch this season and with one game to play, there’s still some fun to be had. The numbers are nice, and the wins have finally been following. There’s one more showdown, Week 18 with the Packers, with a potential playoff berth on the line. As Lions fans, we’ve longed for this. Here’s to watching this historic offense go off one more time, on the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field.
