‘Spider’ Sims (6-foot-2, 175 pounds) is regarded as a top-20 talent both at his position and the state of Georgia. He was being recruited hard by Michigan going back to July of 2016 when they first offered him a scholarship. He made an unofficial visit to Michigan back in mid-March and was reportedly in town on Thursday.
The nickname ‘Spider’ comes from his athleticism and wingspan.
Sims was being recruited hard in fact by a boatload of programs, including some of Michigan’s conference rivals in Michigan State and Ohio State. His last official offer from a program came back in early March from the University of Washington.
