On Sunday afternoon, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers had a golden opportunity and they took advantage of it by defeating the Minnesota Vikings to move to 8-8 on the season. Now, with just one game remaining on their schedule, a Week 18 matchup at Lambeau Field against the Detroit Lions, Rodgers and the Packers control their own destiny in terms of earning a berth in the 2022 NFL Playoffs.
What did Aaron Rodgers say about the ‘Same Old Lions’
Following the win over the Vikings, Rodgers spoke to reporters about the Packers’ Week 18 matchup against the Lions, and, surprisingly, he actually had something nice to say.
“We’ve played in a couple of those Sunday night games against the Lions over the years, but it’s not the Same Old Lions,” Rodgers said. “They were 1-6 at one point and they’ve come all the way back to 8-8. There will be a lot on the line for both teams and it’ll be exciting to line up against them.”
Earlier in the season, the Lions took down the Packers at Ford Field, and you can bet this will be an epic battle as both teams are still alive in the playoff race.
