As you may have heard by now, the Detroit Lions have traded a conditional sixth-round draft pick to the Dallas Cowboys for DE Everson Griffen.

With the NFL trade deadline approaching quickly, there had been plenty of chatter about whether the Lions would be buyers or sellers and this trade seems to answer that question.
Just moments ago, Josina Anderson tweeted out what Griffen said to her following the trade.
“I’m excited. I just got to process everything..I’m gonna reach out to Adrian (Peterson) at some point but I’m going home to pack. I tried to drop you a quick note on it. It’s cool, a brand new start.”
