Following their abysmal 2020 season, not many had high expectations in 2021 for the Michigan Wolverines.
But that was then and this is now and Michigan is ranked No. 2 in the nation and on Friday night, they will play No. 3 Georgia in the Orange Bowl for a berth in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
Brad Galli recently caught up with Michigan legend Desmond Howard and Howard, noting this has been a “completely remarkable” season, said that he is not going to rank this Wolverines team until their season is over.
ESPN's @Desmond Howard said Michigan's 2021 season was a 'remarkable turnaround.'

Howard also talked about how prior to the season, people wanted Jim Harbaugh to be fired and he gave props to Michigan AD Warde Manuel for sticking with his coach.
"This time last year, everybody and their mama was telling Warde to fire Jim Harbaugh," Desmond Howard said.
The ESPN analyst said Warde Manuel deserves credit in an era were ADs fire coaches quickly. #CFBPlayoff pic.twitter.com/JXGXj6vCJk
