On Monday, Lions GM Bob Quinn joined Sirius XM NFL Radio which is hosted by Alex Marvez and Gil Brandt and he was asked about the health of Matthew Stafford.
Quinn said he is “totally comfortable and happy that Matthew Stafford’s our quarterback” for 2020.
“He’s going to be in full health once the offseason program starts its course,” he said. “He’s pretty much at full health. Talked to him about 10 days ago. He was in the office, so he’s feeling great, he’s in a good mindset. He’s excited.”
Quinn was also asked about whether or not the Lions could select a quarterback early in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Not surprisingly, Quinn really did not answer the question, but he did continue to talk about the confidence he has in Stafford.
“I feel great about Matthew,” Quinn said. “He’s going to come back strong when we’re ready to go for next year.”
