Detroit Pistons Rookie Sekou Doumbouya assigned to Grand Rapids Drive

According to Rod Beard of the Detroit News, Detroit Pistons first-round draft pick Sekou Doumbouya is being sent to their G-League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive.

Sekou Doumbouya was drafted by the Pistons earlier this year with their 15th overall pick. In his only appearance with the Pistons during Summer League, Doumbouya scored nine points while adding two rebounds. Doumbouya is not expected to be a part of the Pistons rotation this season.

While Doumbouya will likely not be a part of the rotation this season, he is expected to still be in the Pistons long term plans.
