According to reports, the Detroit Red Wings have reduced their roster by nine players.

The Detroit Red Wings today assigned goaltender Kaden Fulcher to the ECHL's Toledo Walleye and released forwards Matthew Ford, Josh Kestner, Troy Loggins and Tyler Spezia; defensemen Marcus Crawford, Charle-Edouard D'Astous and Alec McCrea; and goaltender Pat Nagle from their tryouts. Ford, Loggins and McCrea are expected to report to the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins, while Crawford, D'Astous, Kestner, Nagle and Spezia will join Toledo.
The Red Wings roster is now down to 48 players on their preseason roster.
