It’s almost over.
For the Detroit Tigers, and their fans, it’s been a long, painful season.
In fact, with a 46-110 record, the Tigers have put themselves in position to clinch the No. 1 pick in the 2020 MLB Draft on Wednesday night.
You see, with their loss on Tuesday against the Minnesota Twins, Detroit is now a full 5 games worse than the Baltimore Orioles and their magic number to clinch the No. 1 pick is down to one.
What that means is if the Tigers lose to the Twins OR the Orioles win I’m Toronto against the Blue Jays, Detroit will have the top pick in the 2020 MLB Draft.
With the loss, the Tigers stand five games ahead of the Orioles in the race for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft. Their magic number is one.

So, though it has been a rough season, at least we can dream about who the Tigers will select No. 1 overall next June!
Anyone believe in silver linings?
