Many of us have been more than ready for the Detroit Tigers to move on from Mikie Mahtook. On Thursday we thought our wish was coming true when Mahtook was designated for assignment.

What that means is just one single team had to believe enough in the Tigers' outfielder to claim him off waivers but according to reports, that did not happen.
The Tigers announced on Saturday that Mahtook cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Toledo.
