The Detroit Lions have themselves another win on the season, improving their record to 2-0-1 with today’s victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field!
The Lions were able to ride big plays from their defense and special teams to take down a depleted Eagles squad, and former head coach Jim Schwartz.
Take a look at some of the instant reactions by fans and media alike (including a few salty Eagles fans).
The Detroit Lions just can't make things easy. We should have beat the Eagles by multiple touchdowns. Instead, we damn near threw the game away on a blocked field goal.
Ugly win, but walking away with a victory is all that matters at the end of the day. pic.twitter.com/4lsBFQJvla

It wasn’t pretty (understatement of the day) but #Lions come away with a huge 27-24 win over #Eagles to improve to 2-0-1. Better to win ugly than to lose pretty as Sidney Deane famously said in White Men Can’t jump. #DETvsPHI

This throw by Stafford is extremely impressive. Lions are the best team the #Eagles will have faced so far this season. pic.twitter.com/LXI4FM43Sg
