Former Detroit Lions linebacker Chris Spielman a big part of the success the was able to enjoy, helping them to four playoff appearances, two NFC Central titles, and a berth in the 1991 NFC Championship game.
He now works for Fox's NFL coverage, and he was part of the broadcast crew who worked yesterdays Lions/Vikings game in Minnesota – and he quickly drew the ire of many fans who listened to what he had to say during the course of the afternoon.
Plenty of fans called out Spielman for his preaching of patience:

Chris Spielman told Detroit Lions fans to be patient (wow we’ve never heard that before👌🏾) and hang with Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn. Will patience pay off this time?

Chris Spielman preaching for patience with Matt Patricia.
Patience is a tough sell to Lions fans.

Fans can be forgiven for being a little impatient – after all, the team has one playoff win since 1957. Spielman knows all about it since he was actually on that squad, but it's certainly understandable that fans weren't exactly in the frame of mind to hear it.
Following the game, Spielman engaged fans on his Twitter account, and addressed a few of their concerns, including those of some who accused him of simply parroting official team talking points.
