Former Michigan G Caris LeVert out indefinitely after mass found on kidney

Former Michigan Wolverines forward Caris LeVert will be out indefinitely.

LeVert, who was recently acquired by the Indiana Pacers from the Nets as part of the four-team trade that sent Victor Oladipo to the Houston Rockets, was discovered to have a small mass on his kidney following an MRI.

“On behalf of my family and myself, we want to thank the Indiana Pacers for their support and guidance,” LeVert said in a statement. “We are grateful for their extreme thoroughness during the physical process and I am looking forward to joining the team and being part of this great organization as soon as possible.”

In 27.8 minutes per game so far this season, LeVert has averaged 18.5 PPG and six APG. During his time in Ann Arbor, LeVert became the 64th player in school history to reach 100 games played, having spent from 2012 to 2016 with the Wolverines.
