The Detroit Lions are just as psyched about their trade acquisition as the fans are, it seems. The Lions announced yesterday their trade for former All-Pro DT Damon Harrison, giving up a 5th round pick in the process. Fans were understandably elated at the move; it’s a great trade for the Lions to bolster their defense.

BREAKING: Detroit Lions announce roster move to make room for Damon ‘Snacks’ Harrison
On Wednesday morning, news broke that the Detroit Lions had agreed to trade a fifth-round pick to the New York Giants for defensive lineman Damon Harrison.
Though the Lions organization would not confirm the trade on Wednesday, that is exactly what they did this morning, though they said “future, undisclosed draft pick” when referring to the pick sent to New York.
In order to make room for Harrison on the 53-man roster, the Lions were forced to release a player. That player is defensive tackle, Sylvester Williams.
