According to Watson’s lead attorney Rusty Hardin, a police investigation was welcomed. The quarterback did cite his Fifth Amendment right during the two depositions. Despite today’s ruling, this doesn’t mean that Watson is out of the woods just yet regarding the civil lawsuits brought against him by several massage therapists.
Watson, who did not play during the 2021 NFL Season, led the League with 4,823 passing yards and an average of 8.9 yards per pass in 2020.
