It’s that time of year when NFL rumors are being thrown around like they are a dirty pair of socks.
One rumor that is spreading around these parts was actually reported by Bernie Smilovitz on WDIV Detroit late Wednesday night.

Smilowitz reported that the Lions have been involved in trade talks concerning Stafford for a couple of weeks.
“Sources close to Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions have confirmed to Local 4′s Bernie Smilovitz that trade talks concerning the quarterback have been underway for a couple of weeks.”
Since that report, Bob Quinn responded to a text from Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press saying the reports are “100% False!!”
That being said, Kelly Stafford posted something interesting to her Instagram story on Wednesday hinting at where her preferred destination for a trade would be.
NOTE: This was posted to Kelly’s Instagram story BEFORE the report from Smilovitz surfaced
IF the Lions are shopping Stafford (I still am not believing that at all), the Los Angeles Chargers would certainly be a possible destination as they have parted ways with long time QB Philip Rivers.
