In case you missed it, the Detroit Lions played the Green Bay Packers on Sunday and once again, the referees managed to completely jack up a call, which could have cost the Lions dearly.
The play came in the fourth quarter with the Lions trailing the Packers 28-14. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw a dime to Marvin Jones Jr., which he caught while getting his toes in bounds. But, not surprisingly, the official near the play called it an incomplete pass.
That’s when Lions interim head coach Darrell Bevell threw the challenge flag, forcing the referee to review the play. Following the review, which looked conclusive that Jones Jr. was in bounds with possession of the ball, the referee came onto the field and said the call on the field stands.
Luckily, Stafford proceeded to lead the Lions down the field and they still scored a touchdown to cut the Packers’ lead to 28-21.
Following the game, Jones Jr.’s wife Jazmyn took to Instagram and she made it pretty clear that she thought her husband made the catch in bounds.
“Ohhh, but this is not a damn catch!!! GTFOH,” Jazmyn Jones put on her Instagram story along with a photo showing Marvin with the ball in his hands and his toes in bounds.
Jazmyne, here is an even better view for you!
