As you have heard by now, Matthew Stafford took a big hit on Sunday against the Washington Football Team, resulting in a partially torn ligament in the thumb on this throwing hand.
According to reports, the Lions are going to see how Stafford throws throughout practice this week but he is expected to start on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
Prior to Wednesday’s practice, Lions head coach Matt Patricia spoke to the media and he gave an update on Stafford. Patricia said that though Stafford will be at practice, he probably will not do much.
“We’ll see what it looks like when we get out there,” Patricia said.

Stafford is as tough as they come but having a torn ligament on his throwing hand could make passing difficult.
Let’s hope he is good enough to make the throws he needs to so the Lions have a chance on Sunday against the Panthers.
