If Michigan would have had a healthy Isaiah Livers, you cannot convince me that they would not have gone to the Final Four and eventually hoisted the 2021 NCAA National Championship trophy.
But the Wolverines did not have Livers, who suffered a stress fracture in his foot prior to the start of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, and they ended up being eliminated by an inferior UCLA team.
That being said, Livers will be heading to the NBA but Michigan will solid again in the 2021-22 season as freshman Hunter Dickinson should return, along with Shaundee Brown and Eli Brooks, who are both rumored to use their free extra year of eligibility allowed by the NBA.
According to various sportsbooks that we have checked out, the Wolverines currently have the second-best odds to win the 2022 NCAA National Championship, trailing only Gonzaga, who is currently listed as the favorite to cut down the nets for the first time in school history.
Depending on where you look, Michigan is anywhere from +800 to +1200 to win it all next season.
Nation, who do you think will win it all in 2022?
I believe Michigan will only win it all next year if Dickinson , Brooks, and Brown return. I believe Wagner will go pro though. You have the #1 recruiting class coming in and your already adding more firepower with people returning with experience.
