In case you have not heard, Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan football team began their statewide trip on Thursday with a trip to Flint, where they handed out meals and spoke with inmates at the Genesee County Jail. The Wolverines even made a stop in Frankenmuth, where they posed for a photo in front of Zehnders.
During their trip to the Genesee County Jail, Harbaugh and 15 of his seniors spent time serving meals and talking to the inmates at the Genesee County Jail.
“It’s rough,” Harbaugh said. “The people we saw today in a holding cell … that’s a low point. And sheriff Swanson cares. When you treat people like human beings — not calling them inmates, but calling them students — and do something that you can feel good about yourself and to make yourself better, it gives hope.”
Michigan Football team invades East Lansing
On Friday, the team took a trip to East Lansing (the home of the Michigan State Spartans) where they took the opportunity to pose for a photo in front of the Michigan State Capitol building.
You can bet the Michigan football team is having a great time in East Lansing today, unlike the time they had last October when the Spartans handed the Wolverines their only regular-season defeat.
