Mike Valenti is not happy about 97.1 The Ticket breaking news early

Earlier today, 97.1 The Ticket broke the news that he will be having a new co-host and that his current program director Mike Sullivan will no longer be working at the station.

During the opening of Thursday’s show, Valenti bashed 97.1 The Ticket for releasing a press release to break the news before he could do it himself.

Valenti said he “has no idea what this company is doing releasing press releases before we are on the air.” He also was not thrilled at all that using a “one-liner in a press release” to announce Sullivan is leaving the show is, “silly.”

Valenti also noted that he was not happy at all that 97.1 The Ticket did not use the quotes he gave them in the press release.

“It was an atrocity of a press release,” Valenti said.
