The Detroit Lions entered Sunday’s game at home against the Carolina Panthers with a 3-6 record and in desperate need of a win, and they were able to deliver in front of the home fans.
The play of the game easily was Kenny Golladay’s game winning touchdown catch late in the 4th quarter. He lined up on the outside and broke inside off the snap. Quarterback Matthew Stafford then hit Golladay in the corner of the end zone as he twisted backward while making a tremendous catch to give the Lions the lead.
He finished the afternoon with eight catches for 113 yards (14.1 average per catch) as the Lions improved to 4-6 on the season. The Lions will now host the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving afternoon this Thursday looking for their fifth win of the year.

Detroit Lions a possible destination for LeVeon Bell
If you have followed along with the NFL this season, you have surely heard plenty about the LeVeon Bell fiasco in Pittsburgh.
After he decided not to report to the Steelers this week, Bell is ineligible to play this season.
It will be interesting to see what Bell chooses to do in the offseason, but according to reports, he is expected to be looking for $17 million per season with $45 million guaranteed.
According to Ian Rapoport, one team who he expects to show interest in Bell’s services is the Detroit Lions.

Matt Patricia fires back at snow practice critics
On Thursday, many were surprised that Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia made the decision to have his team practice in the snow. Most of the criticism was based on the fact the Lions next three games will be played at Ford Field and their fourth will be played in Arizona.
