The NFL is clearly not messing around when it comes to their mandated safety protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After fining head coaches Vic Fangio, Jon Gruden, Sean Payton, Kyle Shanahan and Pete Carroll for not wearing a face mask on the sidelines (their respective teams were fined $250,000) the League is taking it up a notch.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the League is threatening harsher penalties, including suspensions and potential loss of draft picks for failure to adhere to the mandated guidelines. The “strongly worded memo” was sent out earlier today to coaches who won’t wear masks on the sideline during games:
Sunday’s game between the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers has been postponed after the Titans had an outbreak.
