Pete Carroll plays epic April Fool’s joke on newest Detroit Lions DE Everson Griffen [Video]

On Tuesday, the Detroit Lions officially established themselves as buyers as the 2020 NFL trade deadline approaches as they traded the Dallas Cowboys for DE Everson Griffen.

While doing some digging on Griffen, we came across a great video that took place when Griffen was playing his college ball at USC.

As you will see in the video below, then USC head coach Pete Carroll plays an epic April Fool’s joke on Griffen by having police officers come to a team meeting and take him away, accusing him of physically assaulting a freshman. As the video plays on, you will see exactly what the joke was.

We are not sure if this would fly in 2020 but everyone seemed to get a kick out of it in 2010.
