When it comes to discussing the best wide receivers in the National Football League, Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp has been in the discussion for some time now. In fact, during the 2021 season, Kupp caught an astounding 145 passes for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. Unfortunately, this past Sunday, against the Arizona Cardinals, Kupp suffered what appeared to be a serious injury. On Tuesday, Rams head coach Sean McVay revealed some awful news for Kupp.
For how long will Cooper Kupp be out?
According to a report from Jourdan Rodrigue, Kupp has a high-ankle sprain and he’ll have surgery on Wednesday. McVay said Kupp is going on injured reserve, but he did not immediately rule him out for the remainder of the 2022 season Rodrigue noted that Kupp will have the tightrope procedure done and that the recovery time is generally 4-8 weeks.
This is a huge blow for the Rams, and to fantasy football managers (like myself) who selected Kupp in the first round of their draft.
